Become a Foster Parent

Apelah is always looking for more resource parents. There are so many children who need and loving a home, and opening your home to a child who needs you can be a wonderful and rewarding experience. If you’re interested in applying, go our our Become a Foster Parent page to read through the requirements and download an application. If you need more encouragement, read our blog post about what it means to be an Apelah resource parent: Advice to Future Foster Parents.

Join Our Board

Being on the board of a non-profit can be hard work, but it is also a fun and fulfilling way to volunteer your time. You can take a look at a list of our current board members or give us a call at 662-429-3652 to ask if we have any openings. The Apelah board is an amazing group of individuals, and we wouldn’t be able to do the work that we do without them.

Donate

As a 501(c)3 non-profit, Apelah is a tax exempt charitable organization. Donations to our agency go towards supporting our programs and services. Our donor community allows us to give more foster children loving homes and help more elderly people live independently at home as they age. As a part of our vision, we strive to ensure fiscal accountability for the use of all of our funding. We know that a donation is a sign of support for our mission, and we want every donor to feel confident in the work that we do. Check out our events page for any upcoming giving opportunities.

Play at Bingo Bonanza

Apelah’s services are supported by Bingo Bonanza in Nesbit, Mississippi. Per Mississippi law and regulated by the Mississippi Gaming Commission, all bingo halls in the state must donate their proceeds to a charitable organization. 100% of Bingo Bonanza’s profits go to direct services for Apelah’s foster children. That means that when you play at Bingo Bonanza, you’re supporting Mississippi’s foster children - win or lose. Check out Bingo Bonanza’s website for hours and game information!
